Rosberg reprimanded for pitlane infraction

It has been announced today that Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has received a reprimand from the stewards after incorrectly entering in the pitlane in FP1 for the Spanish GP.

In the last hour of FP1, Rosberg was attempting to enter the pits when he ran across the white line beyond the bollard on entry to the pitlane.

The stewards have announced that Rosberg has received his first reprimand of the season and have insisted that all of the drivers were warned about the bollard for this weekend.

In a statement from Race Control and the stewards have stated the following about giving Rosberg a reprimand today as follows:-

‘The driver crossed the line separating  the pit entry from the track and did not stay to the right of the bollard as required in the Race Director’s event notes.’

At the end of the day, Rosberg has made the mistake when asked not to do so by the Race Director and has now paid the price for doing so.

All he can do now is learn from it and concentrate on the rest of the weekend in Barcelona.
