Red Bull reveal 2016 livery

Yesterday, the Red Bull team revealed its new livery for the 2016 season. In the first official car launch of the pre-season, Red Bull unveiled its livery to the media at an event in London’s Brick Lane. The new car, the RB12, will not be rolled out until the first day of testing in Barcelona on February 22.

The loss of former sponsor Infiniti means the purple sidepods have been replaced by prominent Red Bull branding, which was last on that part of the car in 2012. The team has also opted for a darker shade of blue and more striking yellow than in recent seasons. Drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat also unveiled new race overalls, sporting a camouflaged tone from new partners Puma.

Red Bull will compete this year with Renault engines, albeit branded with the name of new sponsor TAG Heuer. That followed a very public breakdown in the relationship with the French manufacturer and Red Bull’s failure to secure another engine for 2016.

Red Bull retained the partnership of Ricciardo and Kvyat for the second year in a row. Ricciardo joined the team in 2014 and is the last Red Bull driver to secure a victory, doing so three times during that campaign.

What do you all think of Red Bull’s livery, I’d love to hear your thoughts below!
