Ericsson to start his 50th GP in sixteenth place in Singapore

At his 50th Grand Prix weekend Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson qualified in sixteenth place on the grid for the Singapore GP tomorrow.

In his interview with the media shortly after qualifying today, Ericsson is happy to have reached Q2 ahead of his 50th GP start and is happy with the performance he put in today. Ericsson stated the following:-

‘It is positive that I reached Q2 today. Overall it has been a difficult weekend for me, as I haven’t been able to get a good feeling for the car during the practice sessions. Therefore, it makes it even nicer that we managed to make it into the second qualifying session. It is a good effort, but we need to keep pushing to close the gap to the midfield.’
